WebI had a fistulotomy along with another surgery at the same time and I was approved for one month off of work. I sit in an office chair and when I went back to work, I was really uncomfortable sitting for the next month at least, maybe a little longer. The fistulotomy took 3 full months to completely close up. WebI ended up with a partial fistulotomy and a cutting seton placement due to minor involvement of the internal sphincter. The recovery was a little rough. I didn’t have that much pain but I had LOTS of drainage for 3-4 weeks. As predicted, the surgeon’s estimate of a quick full recovery was a little ridiculous.
